Do you ever feel frustrated by all the news and media telling you what you should eat or what you should not eat? It gets overwhelming, doesn’t it? It is good to remind ourselves that experimenting with eating different foods can be a good thing. There is no reason to simply keep to a “meat and potatoes” kinda diet — there is so much more beyond that! By learning the varieties of good carbohydrates, proteins, good fats, fiber, vegetables, fruits, and calcium-rich foods we can eat while still maintaining a healthy diet (and weight) only helps us all in the end. Harvard School of Public Health has compiled a list of precisely the types of foods available to us in their various categories.
