Steps to more purposeful eating

There are so many reminders about eating right and making every bite count from just about everyone you know; even if they don’t say it, like your significant other, your best friend or even a co-worker. It’s not meant to be an insult, but rather a reminder that we are all in the same boat and can always eat better. No doubt this can be difficult at first, but getting yourself in the habit of reaching for the freshly-washed fruit you just bought at the local farmers’ market instead of the Oreo cookies can be easier than you think. Although the New Year is approaching quickly, there is no need to make a resolution, instead, think of it as giving yourself the gift of new beginnings starting with a more nutrient-dense diet.
