Do we all have enough to eat?

I learned of a new concept called Food Justice from a discussion I was having with the gentleman that runs the food booth, Umoja, at the North Park Farmers’ Markets every Thursday afternoon.

Food Justice asks the question, why do we have an issue currently with food insecurity?

One of the many things asked of potential advocates of food justice is to question where food comes from and what the production process from start to finish is with the involvement of people, land and animals.

There are many ways to educate and involve the consumer in making wiser choices at the market by seeking out products that are sustainable and local. Check out the website and get involved with eating locally and thinking globally.
